Mark Workshop North

The Mark Workshop is a unit under the Army Staff, and you will belong to the northern department with about 180 employees, operating in Boden, Östersund, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Vidsel, Sollefteå, and Umeå. We perform maintenance on the Armed Forces' ground equipment and provide technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material investigation.

Main tasks

As a mechanic, you will primarily work with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of various types of vehicles and their systems used within the Armed Forces, such as trucks, combat vehicles, tracked vehicles, construction machinery, trailers, and containers. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance as well as modifications based on established documentation.

Qualifications

• At least a two- or three-year high school education in automotive technology, with a focus on vehicles or other education/competence acquired through work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Relevant previous experience as a mechanic.
• Driving license B.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious, works well independently as well as in a team. As a vehicle mechanic, you are structured, determined, and make correct assessments and priorities. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt to a changing environment.

DESIRABLE

• Experience working with the Armed Forces' equipment and vehicles
• The Armed Forces' mechanic training
• Experience in maintenance of generators, compressors, small machines, or similar
• Driving licenses BE, C, or CE
• Forklift, crane, and wheel loader training
• Experience working with vehicle diagnostic systems and vehicle electronics

The work involves requirements for travel and service, both domestically and internationally. The position is a civilian role.

Work with thermosetting plastics occurs at the workplace and requires a health examination.
